• I have two in-person locations. I work inside the Eminence Massage Therapy Clinic in Gananoque at 186 King St. E. and downtown Kingston at 120 Clarence St.

You can view these locations on maps under “Contact.”

I also offer virtual sessions across Ontario, and cross-provincially in some cases. This is dependent on regulations within each province.

  • Yes! I offer a free 15-30 minute consult usually by phone or video.

  • OHIP does not cover my services. Many extended health benefits plans do include “Registered Psychotherapist” under the mental health or psychological services section of the plan. You will need to check your workplace benefits booklet and verify this prior to booking if you wish to use your insurance.

I do direct billing using Telus e-claims and Blue Cross. This service is completely dependent on whether your provider allows it.

In cases where direct billing isn’t possible, or you opt out, I take payment at the end of session. I then provide you with a detailed digital receipt for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement.

  • A first session is an opportunity to review consent for service, confidentiality, and have any of your questions answered. It’s also the time when we will begin to talk more deeply about what’s bringing you in for therapy.

This usually includes some history taking around topics like relationships, mental health, and coping. This can feel overwhelming for some however it’s also where our collaboration can begin; I’ll be right there with you to make sense of where to start.

If you’re feeling nervous it might help to know and remember that at this point in my career I have had hundreds of initial meetings with clients. It’s completely normal to feel nervous and the major focus of the session is on simply understanding you, and beginning to develop a supportive and comfortable space.

  • Yes, I offer virtual sessions across Ontario through my practice management software, Jane. I also offer virtual sessions cross-provincially in some cases. This is dependent on regulations within each province.

  • Living and working in a small community can be both meaningful and complex. For some, it offers a strong sense of connection and belonging; for others, it can feel isolating or difficult to find a sense of acceptance. I hold space for all experiences. Having grown up in this community I can appreciate many of the nuances of small town life - having lived in a major city for close to 15 years, I also bring a depth of lived experience unrelated to this, as well as my transition back to this community.

Our paths might cross outside of sessions and I’m mindful of maintaining your privacy at all times. We will talk about how you’d like to handle any interactions we might have in the community. What matters most to me is that you feel safe, respected, and free to bring your full self into our work together—knowing that what we talk about stays confidential and that you’ll always be met with understanding and care.

This conversation is an important one, and we will talk about it in our consult and first meeting, and return to it as needed.

  • Everyone’s needs are different, and the length of therapy really depends on what you’re hoping to work on. Because my approach focuses on deeper exploration, I often find that meaningful change takes time. This gives us space to build trust and move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.

At the same time, I understand that not everyone is looking for longer-term therapy. If you’re hoping for shorter-term support or want to focus on a specific goal, we can absolutely shape our work in that way too. We’ll talk together about what feels right for you and check in along the way.
